Princeton

I don't think the snow is going to melt.  It was beautiful at first, but now, it's that nasty dirty stuff that makes everything look, well, unclean.  There are parts of our yard that don't get kissed by the sun this time of year, so even though it's in the 40's today, the stuff will not melt.  It's basically crunchy ice (produced when it rains on soft snow, then freezes), and the doggies really do not like doing their business on it.  Lucy just slides around, bless her heart - try squatting and peeing while standing on ice, and you get the picture - and Ringo is only interested in hunting as usual.

Really, our lives are more interesting than this, I promise.  But I thought you'd want to hear more than the latest pregnancy woes... speaking of, we are now at 28 weeks.  The third trimester.  I remember during the first one that the third seemed really far away.  And now it's here.  We start our childbirth classes on Tuesday - should be an interesting experience.

We spent the day in Princeton yesterday - really walking down memory lane, especially for Brian.  It will be 10 years in March since my Spring Break trip to visit him when we fell in love.  Hard to believe... how time flies.  We had yummy Old World Pizza, which is my favorite pizza on this side of the Atlantic, and well worth trying for any of you that might live remotely nearby.  We also shared hot chocolate and hot cider at Small World Coffee, which has expanded in size, but still has the same homey feel, full, even on a sunny Saturday afternoon, of people chatting and reading and studying.  I thought of all the visits I made up to Princeton, where we tried to cram dating into a few weekends a month... how glad I am to be able to spend every day with this man that I now love so much more than I ever dreamed I could 10 years ago...

I hope you have a wonderful week, blogworld.  Take time to make someone smile.
