My little girl turned TWO on May 3... My how time flies. I've said that before, and it just keeps happening!
On her actual birthday (a Tuesday) we had a quick celebration at home with a cupcake.
She most certainly did NOT like the fact that her food was on fire!
But she most certainly DID like the yummy cupcake!
For her birthday party, we had a (very loose) pink pig theme.
My big accomplishment was baking (no, actually it should be "creating") a Penelope the Pig cake. There is a story behind this... when Jacque and I were growing up, Mom had this series of articles from a magazine with recipes for all different types of animal cakes. Penelope Pig was one of my favorites. She made these cakes for many of our birthdays... I now have newfound admiration and respect for my mom and her baking talents. This took a lot of effort (and three trips back and forth to the store by my very patient husband!)!

Addy ran to the door each time the doorbell rang, saying, "more presents, more presents" - going to have to work on our priorities as she gets older! But at age 2, it was funny... She was still as excited about the pretty wrappings and bags as she was about the actual gifts!
Holton looked on and took everything in, admiring his big sister.
Holton got plenty of lovin' too! It was great to have Mimi Glenna and Bubba join us.
