Hiccups

Or is it hiccoughs?  Whatever, all I know is that this baby gets them all the time!  Usually a couple of times a day or more!  Is this normal?  I know it's not uncommon, but I really want to know, what does it mean?  Personally, I find the hiccups very uncomfortable, so I really feel for the little guy (or gal, don't get too excited that I just accidentally gave something away!  I really still don't know the gender!).  I mean, there's not much to do in there but grow and sleep, and form lots of new brain synapses, so maybe the hiccups are becoming a hobby or something!  He or she seems to wake up whenever they occur though, so I hope this pattern won't continue after birth...

Anyway, hard to believe the countdown is now under 50 days!  We have been busy - had a great trip to Phoenix for the Society of Surgical Oncology meeting, and got to catch up with several old friends...  and the best part, we got to have dinner at Binkley's, which is still my all-time favorite restaurant.  Yes, it's expensive.  But it's such an experience!  And so worth it!  Go to www.binkleysrestaurant.com to check it out.

The doggies are doing well - they've been relocated out of the guest room in preparation for the baby and guests coming, and are now in the living room:

So we are now officially done traveling, at least until after this pregnancy!  We may go to DC to see my parents one more time, but no more airplanes.  Actually, having Brian with me on this last trip made it a whole lot easier (honey, can you carry the bags?).  But as my mom says, I am now grounded!
