I am still trying to catch up on pictures and blogging for October... I have our main computer to blame, though - it has been super glitchy, and it turns out the hard drive is FULL! Crazy! It's 6 years old - probably time for a new one???
Anyway, here are the pictures from our day at the Fair. My mom and dad were in town and went with us. Speaking of, they are now officially moving to Murphy - about 10 minutes away from us!!! We are all really excited to have them so much closer! Hopefully, they will move here by late spring.
Anway, both kids did great and enjoyed all the sights, sounds and smells of the fair... and even a little bit of fried goodness...
The petting zoo was a big hit this year with Adelyn. It was neat to see how much she had changed in one year - last year she had just learned to run around, and was much more interested in exercising her freedom. This year, she was much more interested in the actual animals and really enjoyed it!
Mama and baby kangaroo...
Very large tortoise
I can only imagine what Holton thought of it all...
This big guy wasn't too friendly... I guess I wouldn't be either if I had thousands of people trying to pet me...
Addy loved the zebras.
Here's our gang in line for the ferris wheel... this is one of our annual traditions at the fair. Adelyn has done it every year of her life, and of course, this was Holton's first time. I worried that Addy might actually take note of the height this year, but I was wrong - she really enjoyed it, although we did have to carry her on and off because stepping into the car scared her. She took note of all the colors of the cars and was excited to get a blue one.
Holding on tight and looking down!
Pajo and Majee...
The Little Man loving the breeze...
Maybe the best part of the evening... Majee decided to get a turkey leg - never in a million years would I have dreamed that my mom would want, or eat, a turkey leg from the fair... but she did and here are the photos to prove it... actually, we all had a bite and it was pretty good (in the way that most fair food is pretty good at the fair, but you would never eat it anywhere else???)
More evidence...
I have no pictures of my annual Fletcher's corny dog, the dog show, Big Tex (the photos we did get were too shaded and didn't turn out), or any of the fried foods... it was great to have four adults though, because we could share bites and limit the damage. My favorite is still the fried snickers I think, although the fried smores were pretty tasty too...
Up next, our trip to San Francisco!

Looks wonderful!
